Megan got very sick in December of 2018. No one had any answers as she went from being the healthiest little girl to being unable to walk. Finally bloodwork revealed devastatingly low counts. Megan was put into hospital and the family put into a new world.
Megan was diagnosed with leukemia at just two years old.
“It’s very scary for little ones to be tossed into this world. It’s very, very scary for all the needles and the medications and the ports and the surgeries,” explains Melissa, Megan’s mom. “It’s hard. Every day is hard.”
