"In memory of my grandson Mateo who passed away at the age of 9, my brother Al Martin and I are taking on a special challenge, crossing the Gordie Howe International Bridge together!
On September 10th, 2026, we’ll walk across the bridge pushing our bikes and then ride our bikes back across the other way. We’re hoping becoming the oldest “couple” to do this! I am 88 and he is 91!
Most importantly, we’re doing this to raise funds in momory of Mateo and to help support a cause that means so much to our family.
We would be incredibly grateful for your support. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help us reach our fundraising goal and make this journey even more meaningful.
If the weather doesn’t cooperate on September 10th, we’ll choose a rain date and keep on riding!
